CSB1 power supplies


DCCSC has received a batch of 15V5A power supplies with European (two round pin) wall plugs instead of the anticipated North American (two flat and one round pin) wall plugs.

These are on offer with a European-to-North American plug adaptor which provides fully tested compatibility with North American power sockets.  Customers who are willing to receive this optional combination with any CSB1 bundle that includes a power supply may apply discount code "European" at check-out and enjoy an immediate $10 discount.

 

The recommended power supply specifications for CSB1 command station / boosters is 15 volts and at least 5 amps (15V5A).  A higher amperage power supply may be used but CSB1 devices limit track power supply to 5 amps.

DCCSC may substitute 15V6A power supplies depending on availability.  These are fully compatible with CSB1 devices.

Small layouts or locomotive fleets may work well with voltages as low as 12 volts and 3 amps (12V3A).
