CSB1 power supplies.

A standard CSB1 command station / booster arrangement requires the following approximate power supply voltages according to train scale/gauge:

  • 10v-12vDC for Z scale/gauge
  • 10v-14vDC for N scale/gauge (include OO9 in this category)
  • 14v-16vDC for HO/OO scale/gauge
  • 18v-19vDC for O scale/gauge
  • 20v-24vDC for G scale/gauge

Small layouts with small locomotive fleets may only require 3 Amps while larger layouts may require more.  CSB1 command station / boosters are compatible with 6A or higher power supplies but will supply a maximum of 5A to the track.

DCC Supply Canada CSB1 bundles that include power adaptors are 15V5A (or fully compatible 15V6A adaptors depending on supply availability).

Comprehensive CSB1 power supply information is available at this DCC-EX page.
